These diamond combination stones are made from monocrystalline diamond particles that guarantee a long sharpening life and excellent rate of material removal. The fine diamond particles have a uniform grit size and dense distribution to ensure even grinding patterns across the face of the stone. The perforations virtually eliminate clogging as they create reservoirs for the swarf to sit in, which is then periodically washed away. The diamonds are electro-bonded to a warp-free plate for an overall flatness of ±0.06mm. During the first few times of use a small number of the diamond particles will break down, which is the normal process and does not effect the long term use of the diamond stone.
These diamond stones are excellent for sharpening knives, chisels, plane blades and router bits and will work on general tool steel, M2 high speed steel and tungsten carbide. The 600 grit is used for fine lapping or general sharpening and the 1000 grit extra fine diamond stone is used for the fine sharpening of tools, outdoor knives and kitchen knives.
