There are four pre-set indexing stops that allow you to set the bit 3mm, 4mm, 5mm or 6mm from the edge of the door to suit all the popular types concealed hinges. A series of etched graduations allow you to precisely set and then lock off the drilling depth from 0 to 25mm. You then simply mark a centre line on your door which you align with the centre marker which is cast into the body of the of the jig.
The tungsten carbide forstner bit leaves clean, flat bottom holes in softwood, hardwood, composite woods and melamine faced woods and is kept vertical at all times, smoothly plunging, with spring assistance, though a steel guide bush. A 1/4" hex shank magnetised socket driver fits over the shank of the forstner bit, making the drilling process faster and more efficient.
